James Whitaker
With over 40 years experience in the bespoke Furniture & Joinery industry, James’s design flair & eye for detail, allied to his commercial & planning skills, make him one of the countries most experienced specialists in high end bespoke joinery & fit-out.
After completing his training at Rycotewood Furniture College in the late 70’s, James cut his teeth as a Cabinet Maker, working in a variety of roles from prototype technician to designer craftsman, through to running his own Artist Craftsman “Design & Make” business in the mid - late 80’s
January 1990, saw James & his family relocate to North Norfolk, where James continued to hone his skills in furniture & joinery as a maker; migrating to Project Draughtsperson / Senior Estimator (projects from a few thousand pounds up to full interiors upward of five million) / Contracts - Project Manager, culminating in 2018 taking on the role of Managing Director for an established Joinery & furniture manufacturing / fit-out facility in North Norfolk, employing 39 direct staff plus associated sub-contract installation teams & specialists as appropriate.
Working on projects (residential & yachts), from the UK & European mainland to the Middle East & beyond, James has gained unrivaled experience & knowledge within the workings of the interior design & manufacture industry.
